ECS325: Mechanics of Solids (3credits)
Teaching assistant for Prof. Dannenhoffer (Spring2014, Spring2016) and Dr. Ataei (Fall2015)*
DESCRIPTION:
This course introduces Theory of deformation, stress, stress resultants, transformation, Elastic and inelastic constitutive behavior, Equilibrium. Tension and torsion of bars; flexure and shear of beams; pressure vessels, Thermoelasticity, Elastic and inelastic stability and Energy methods.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Holding recitation classes, Taking quizzes and Grading.
EVALUATION:
The following chart is the summary of class evaluations. Evaluations in details can be found here.
REFLECTION:
I believe being the TA for this course helped me a lot to understand the fundamentals of engineering and as a result I benefit teaching this course working better on my doctoral dissertation. I have been TA for this course during last three semesters. I had the chance of having lectures for this course as well as leading the recitation classes.
